Asplenium ceterach, commonly known as ceterach officinarum or rust grass, grows on limestone rocks and walls, on stones, and in damp environments, similar to an evergreen fern. It is native to western and central Europe, with a predominance in the Mediterranean region, where it has been used since ancient times to treat dysuria (difficulty and discomfort when urinating) caused by calcium oxalate buildup in the urinary system forming stones.

Furthermore, the stone-breaking herb is slightly laxative, and in its diuretic function, it also has a guaranteed detox effect. As a diuretic, it can be useful to naturally support treatment in case of renal failure and helps reduce blood pressure. As an anti-inflammatory plant, it reduces irritation and spasms of the urinary tract and soothes pain.

This action happens because it boosts digestive enzymes, which aid in the treatment of bile issues, colic, and liver illness. In reality, it encourages the expulsion of tiny stones, both in the kidneys and the bladder, shields and cleanses the liver, aids gallbladder function, keeps the spleen healthy, inhibits and removes intestinal worms, and assists in the prevention of unpleasant colic in the case of existing kidney stones.

To protect against the formation of kidney stones, we recommend taking the herbal tea for a limited time of 5 consecutive days.

Finally, the stonebreaker tea works as an anti-inflammatory to soothe coughs and congested bronchi - particularly in the syrup version. In ancient times it was applied externally with rubbing, also to treat arthritis and rheumatism.

Recommended Dosage
◉ 1-3 teaspoons of loose tea (or 3g up to 3 times) daily. If more than one herbal mixture is consumed at the same period of time, reduce the amount of tea accordingly.
◉ When herbs are used for an extended period of time, it is suggested to consume a herbal remedy with a ratio of 3 to 1. For example:
- If you choose to take it for 3 weeks, have a one-week pause.
- If it is taken for a 30-day period, have a 10-day pause.
That does not apply to herbs and fruits that have a laxative effect.

Notes
◉ Should be stored in airtight glass containers -in a cool, dark, and dry place- to preserve the flavor, texture, and properties.
◉ Before adding a new herbal remedy or supplement to your daily routine, you should consult with a medical doctor or holistic health practitioner.
