Moringa oleifera is an Indian tree that has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years.

The leaves are the most nutritious part of the plant, being a significant source of tissue-protective properties and antioxidants including quercetin and chlorogenic acid.

Moringa leaf powder is rich in protein, vitamin B6, vitamin C, riboflavin, and iron, provitamin A as beta-carotene, vitamin K, manganese, zeatin, beta-sitosterol, caffeoylquinic acid, kaempferol, silymarin, EGCg, elegiac acid, and essential minerals such as zinc.

It is also high in several anti-aging compounds that lower the effects of oxidative stress and inflammation, boost immunity, give energy, and protect brain health.

Along with its high concentration of vital nutrients, moringa is used worldwide for treating such widespread conditions as:

  • inflammation-related diseases

How to Use Moringa Capsules

There’s no recommended or required dosage of moringa at this time since it’s only a herbal supplement and not an essential nutrient. It also depends on several factors such as the user’s age, health, and several other conditions.

That being said, there’s some evidence that the optimum dose for humans has been calculated to be 29 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.

Each capsule contains a total of 0,43gr.

It’s recommended that you start by taking 2-3 moringa capsules orally per day for three to five days, increasing your intake slowly over two weeks as you get accumulated to its effects. Most people choose to take moringa every several days but not every single day for a long duration of time since it can cause laxative effects and an upset stomach when overused.

Side Effects

Moringa is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth and used appropriately. The leaves, fruit, and seeds might be safe when eaten as food. However, it’s important to avoid eating the root and its extracts.

Moringa can have laxative effects and cause an upset stomach in high doses or when used too frequently. For that reason, it’s best to start off with a smaller dosage.

Note: Use moringa under the care of a health care professional or functional doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
