Pollen is harvested from plant anthers and combined with salivary gland secretion or nectar before being deposited in special baskets (called corbiculae) on the tibia of bees' back legs.

Bees acquire pollen from the same plant most of the time, although they can also collect pollen from a variety of plants. Pollen grains vary in form, color, size, and weight depending on the plant species.

After collecting pollen, it is transported to the hive and stored in honeycomb cells. The gathered pollen is then wrapped in a thin coating of honey and wax, resulting in "bee bread." According to research, bee bread undergoes anaerobic fermentation and is preserved by the lactic acid produced. Bee bread is the principal source of protein for the bee colony.

In fact, bee pollen has more protein and amino acids than eggs or beef of equivalent weight, and these are only a few of the many bee pollen benefits.

Bee pollen is a natural allergy treatment that also contributes to many of raw honey's health benefits. It's high in vitamins, minerals, proteins, lipids, fatty acids, enzymes, carotenoids, and bioflavonoids, making it an antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral agent that strengthens capillaries, decreases inflammation, boosts the immune system, and naturally lowers cholesterol.

Because of the wide spectrum of antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals included in bee pollen, eating it provides several health advantages. It's utilized for medical and therapeutic purposes all over the world.

Recent research has discovered that bee pollen is beneficial for patients suffering from a variety of diseases, including cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension. It also protects hepatocytes from oxidative stress and promotes the healing of liver damage caused by toxicity, making it ideal for people recovering from alcohol addiction or those who are suffering from physical or mental stress.

It may also benefit malnourished children and adults, particularly before and after surgery, and provides comfort for women experiencing menopausal symptoms and issues with or without a history of breast cancer.

Finally, because pollen is high in vitamins and minerals, it can help maintain your skin looking younger and more attractive by boosting blood flow to all skin cells, aiding detoxification, decreasing wrinkles, and speeding up the healing process.

Use
Mix into yogurt, cereal, or baked items. Ground bee pollen may be added to smoothies, sprinkled over salads, or combined with honey, cottage cheese, or yogurt. Take one teaspoon up to three times a day to treat nutritional deficiencies, allergies, inflammation, stress, or illnesses.

Pollen grains or granules can be added to warm water for two to three hours. They then crack and release their nutritional value. This can also be done with milk, fruit, and vegetable juices. The liquid can then be consumed or blended into a smoothie.
