Frankincense Resin (Boswellia Papyrifera)
The resinous extracts obtained from trees of the genus Boswellia, which are native to India and belong to the Burseraceae plant family. Frankincense is derived from the old French phrase "franc encens," which means "high-quality incense".
Traded for over 6,000 years in its native region and brought to Europe by Frankish Crusaders, the dried resin is typically utilized as incense or in the fragrance industry.
Its fresh, fruity, pine-lemon scent, with gently sweet, resinous, and woody overtones, slows and deepens breathing and has been used to aid spirituality, meditation, and prayer since ancient times. Recent research suggests that it reduces anxiety and depression, has powerful anti-inflammatory and perhaps anti-cancer capabilities, protects healthy cells, reduces free radical damage, and expands lifespan.
It's also beneficial for people who are working on their spiritual development and want to clearly open up to higher spiritual elements, as it can aid communication on a higher plane and has been shown to be effective in fighting inflammatory diseases like arthritis or osteoarthritis, swelling, knee pain, bronchial asthma, chronic colitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and even cancer.
Frankincense resin is light-colored and yellowy, with a strong, rich aroma when burned. It's one of the greatest scents to burn for cleansing and clearing since it can remove and rejuvenate even the most difficult and unpleasant environments. It's useful for cleansing a room of other people's leftover energy, as well as a new home if you're going to move in and make it your own.
Notes
◉ Herbs and botanicals should be stored in airtight glass containers -in a cool, dark, and dry area- to preserve their flavor and properties.
◉ You'll need a heat source to burn this resin as incense. The majority of people utilize a charcoal disc made expressly for this purpose.
