Brown sugar is mixed with the zest from lemons and oranges, resulting in a flavor-infused sugar that is incredibly aromatic and explodes with classic citrus flavor. You’ll use lemon or orange sugar in the same way and in the same amount you would use regular sugar in a recipe, whenever citrus flavor is called for.
