Cloves (Syzygium Aromaticum) - Organic
Clove is a small, spherical spice made from tiny flower buds that grow on the evergreen tree Syzygium aromaticum.
Cloves, which are now largely cultivated in India and Madagascar, are indigenous to the Middle East and have long been employed in Indian Ayurvedic medicine and Chinese medicine for their presumed aphrodisiac qualities and capability to heal headaches and indigestion.
These tiny bulbs are believed to offer warming, invigorating, and detoxifying properties, and they may be used in a multitude of ways, including cooking, extracts, herbal teas, and essential oils.
These buds are abundant in antioxidants like eugenol and essential oils with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral activities. Clove advantages may include improved dental health, infection prevention, improved metabolic health, and liver and gastrointestinal health.
Use
Cloves can be eaten as a spice, used intact in marinades and herbal teas, or extracted as clove oil or extract.
Add a warm and distinctive flavor to baked goods and desserts like cookies, muffins, and cakes, especially those that are holiday-inspired and use "pumpkin pie spice".
In hot beverages like spiced lattes, chai tea, mulled wine, and cider.
In Indian dishes like curries, garam masala, biryani, chutney dishes, rice dishes, and even clove tea, prepared at home by simmering a spoonful of whole cloves for 3 - 5 minutes in boiling water.
Notes
◉ Spices should be stored in airtight glass containers -in a cool, dark, and dry area- to preserve their flavor.
