Pink Peppercorns - Organic
€3.00
Pink peppercorns are not peppercorns at all. These are the ripe berries of Peruvian (schinus molle) and Brazilian (schinus terebinthifolius) pepper plants. They are, nevertheless, the same shape and size as normal peppercorns and have a peppery flavor.
The flavor of pink peppercorns is delicate, aromatic, sweet, and spicy. They taste like delicious berries with a hint of lemon. The deep rose hue of these peppercorns lends an eye-catching flair to any dish.

Use
Great in recipes as a substitute for pepper as well as a colorful addition, to create creamy salad dressings, vinaigrettes, marinades, sauces, fish, seafood, poultry, and even desserts. Roll filet mignon or pork tenderloin in the Pink Peppercorns prior to grilling or roasting, for an elegant sweet pepper flavor.
BONUS TIP: Another technique to use peppercorns is to put them in a cheesecloth bag and cook them in a stew or soup, then remove the bag before eating. Also worth noting is that pepper loses its taste over time, so it's better to add it at the finish of the cooking process.
SECRET BONUS TIP (exclusively for Pink Peppercorns): Because they are too delicate to grind in a peppermill on their own, sprinkle them whole or softly crush them as a garnish in your dish, creating a stunningly colorful presentation!!!
Notes
◉ Peppercorns should be stored in airtight glass containers -in a cool, dark, and dry area- to preserve their flavor and texture.
