Allspice Whole

Allspice is also known as pimento/pimenta, Jamaican allspice, myrtle pepper, Turkish yenibahar, or newspice.

Its flavor resembles a combination of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and nutmeg (hence the name "allspice") which are good substitutes. It is a potent, highly fragrant spice, with warm notes and a slightly sweet and pungent flavor.
