It's a perennial plant native to Europe and Asia. For generations, this plant has been utilized to treat a range of pain and inflammation-related ailments.

The name Comfrey comes from the Latin phrase for "grow together," which reflects the plant's early uses. Comfrey was used by the Greeks and Romans to stop heavy bleeding, cure respiratory problems, and mend wounds and broken bones.

Comfrey can help ease pain, reduce inflammation in muscles and joints, speed up the healing of bruises and contusions, and perhaps aid in the treatment of fibromyalgia.

Use
Apply comfrey topically as a poultice to the afflicted area, wrap, and leave overnight.
