Fo-Ti / He Shou Wu Powder | Organic (Polygonum Multiflorum)
Fo-ti, also known as he shou wu, Chinese cornbind, fleece flower, Chinese knotweed, climbing knotweed, and flowery knotweed, is a Chinese herbal medicine that’s derived from a plant that primarily grows in China, Japan, Tibet, and Taiwan.
Conventional Chinese Medicine has traditionally utilized fo-ti root to improve liver and kidney health, counteract different aging effects, and "nourish the heart and calm the spirit."
The benefits of fo-ti include its ability to treat a variety of health issues, including tuberculosis, cancer, prostatitis, high cholesterol, insomnia, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, and joint pain or soreness.
Fo-ti is also used to combat signs of aging such as hair loss and graying, as well as to enhance skin appearance by treating problems such as acne, eczema, and dermatitis.
It has anti-inflammatory properties, relieves constipation, helps improve sleep quality, helps increase estrogen, manages menopause symptoms, and fights age-related memory problems.
This powder is considered an adaptogen and is also used to improve qi and yin energies. It’s considered a natural liver and kidney tonic that promotes well-being and boosts energy without having stimulant effects.
CAUTION
🡆 High doses might cause side effects (like diarrhea and hypoglycemia) and even serious conditions like liver damage and hepatitis!
Use
Take 2-4g, 1 or 2 times per day, mixed into drinks, hot beverages such as lattes and hot chocolate, smoothies, hot or cold cereals, granola, overnight oats, bars, chia seed pudding, or even baked products (although cooking it at high temperatures may destroy some of the phytonutrients).
