Parnassus Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis Raeseri Boiss) | Organic
Sideritis (ironwort) in ancient Greek means "iron" from its use to treat wounds caused by iron objects. Even soldiers drank it before battle to increase their strength!
The low ratio of tannins makes this tea caffeine-free and gives the mountain tea a citrusy flavor with herbaceous notes similar to chamomile, and a light, woody aroma.
This herb is very beneficial for the heart, digestive, and immune systems. It has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. When paired with its antioxidants, these characteristics have the ability to help daily life in a number of ways, leading people to consume it for generations.
It is most commonly used to treat colds, sore throats, respiratory problems, indigestion, mild anxiety, and to reduce fever, while it could also help to prevent anemia, ADHD, gastric ulcers, and neurological conditions, or used as a pain reliever.
Mountain tea is widely used in combination with other healing herbs and ingredients, such as making an excellent remedy for the common cold by combining it with some honey.
While further study is needed, researchers have discovered that Greek mountain teas, including Malotira, may improve the memory of those suffering from dementia. This, along with all of the additional advantages that this one-of-a-kind plant offers, makes it a great supplement to any daily routine, as well as a good alternative for individuals trying herbal or natural medicinal treatments for the first time.
◉ 1-3 teaspoons of loose tea (or 3g up to 3 times) daily. If more than one herbal mixture is consumed at the same period of time, reduce the amount of tea accordingly.
◉ When herbs are used for an extended period of time, it is suggested to consume a herbal remedy with a ratio of 3 to 1. For example:
- If you choose to take it for 3 weeks, have a one-week pause.
- If it is taken for a 30-day period, have a 10-day pause.
That does not apply to herbs and fruits that have a laxative effect.
◉ Should be stored in airtight glass containers -in a cool, dark, and dry place- to preserve the flavor, texture, and properties.
◉ Before adding a new herbal remedy or supplement to your daily routine, you should consult with a medical doctor or holistic health practitioner.
